Growing up on the outskirts of New Orleans, Louisiana, Brandon Robert experienced a healthy mix of city and rural-wetland life. It is this diverse upbringing that makes him comfortable photographing in any environment. His photographic passion lies in documentary and travel photography. As such, he has adopted photographer Dan Eldon’s Mission Statement:
“To explore the unknown and the familiar, distant and near and to record in detail with the eyes of a child, any beauty, (of the flesh or otherwise) horror, irony, traces of utopia or Hell.”
In 2013, Brandon joined the Nola Defender online newspaper as a contributing photographer. For two years he covered all things cultural New Orleans. From 2015 to 2017, Brandon lived in the United Kingdom and traveled throughout Europe as often as possible. He now resides back home in New Orleans.
